Warrant Canary

Status: ACTIVE
As of the date below, DRAKO has not received any:

DRAKO has never provided any user data, encryption keys, or backdoor access to any third party, government, or law enforcement agency.

In the DRAKO Android app, end-to-end encryption (Signal Protocol) means we cannot read user messages: keys are generated on the device and never reach our servers.

The web client is different, and we state it plainly here. It currently encrypts and decrypts on our servers, which also hold the user's private keys. For that client we are technically able to read message content, and a legal demand could compel us to. We are migrating the web client to the same model as Android; until that is done, users who need confidentiality from us should use the Android app.

We do not store plaintext content at rest, and our server-side architecture is designed to minimize metadata collection.

This canary is updated regularly. If this page disappears or the date below is not recent, it may indicate that we have received a legal demand that prevents us from making this statement.
